Hypersexuality in and of itself, the authors contend, is neither akin to true addictive behavior nor in need of healing but instead a very natural, regular activity for some human beings and not for others. To ascertain if such behavior is considered normal is to first define normality, which is precisely where perceived morals become inextricably - as well as inappropriately - intertwined with the notion of sexual "addiction."
